The principal objective of the brief was to maximise the potential of this highly constrained site. The three bespoke houses were designed around a shared access with the individual buildings broken down into a series of component forms carefully arranged to follow the gradient of the steeply sloping site.
The materials comprise a mixture of facing brickwork, stained timber boarding and plain clay tiles for the roofs. The choice of materials reflects the semi-rural nature of the site, being near the edge of the settlement in Wheatley, Oxfordshire.
